Chorus Update

 Information from Mrs. Sherby

CONCERT      Tuesday Dec. 7th
5:30 PM -- Chorus members report to the music room through door A-1 (closest to the music room).  I will open the door at 5:30 pm.
5:50 PM -- parents may enter the building (main entrance) and go to cafeteria
6:00 PM -- concert begins (approx. 30 minutes)

Dress for this concert -- Dress up and look really nice!!!  If you have already purchased the black/white Chorus uniform, you may wear that -- OR --  you can dress up in your holiday finest outfit.    Let's look festive!!!!!
Wear a Santa hat, too!🎅

The 4th Grade Chorus is the only group performing at this concert -- we have 29 Chorus members.  This means the audience will be a much smaller audience and there will be plenty of seating.   Parents need to wait to enter the building until 5:50 PM because Kings Kids will still be using the cafeteria.

MASKS -- performers need to have a mask on for the performance (unless you have a school mask exemption) and masks are strongly encouraged for audience members.

October!

As the leaves change and hopefully the temperatures start to cool, we are coming to the end of the 1st quarter of fourth grade.  A few updates to note:

Parent Teacher Conferences: Please look for sign up emails from your child's homeroom teacher.  Conferences are scheduled for Oct. 14, 19, 21

Meet the Candidates Night: There are three seats on the Kings Local School Board that will be on the November ballot.  If interested, Kings Education Association is hosting a Meet the Candidates Night on Tuesday, October 5 at Kings High School Auditorium from 6-8:30pm.

DARE: Your child may have told you that 4th grade was visited by te DARE officer on Friday.  This is a scaled-down, 4th grade appropriate version of the DARE program that will run through the end of October on Friday afternoons.  We are thankful to be able to bring this program back to in-person presentation this year and students are excited to see the k-9 unit that will attend the final meeting.

Fall Break - No School Friday, October 15 - Monday, October 18.  Enjoy a 4 day weekend!!

Thank you for keeping your child at home when they present COVID symptoms. If your child is out due to any illness, please contact your child's teacher as we will post assignments to Google Classroom so that your child does not fall behind while they are out.
